The intersection of North Rocky River Road and Poplin Road in Union County, NorthCarolina has re-opened. The construction of a roundabout, which was designed to improve safety and mobility through theSanctuary at Southgate mixed-use, master-planned community is complete and open to traffic.

Walton contributed $180K to the roundabout as part of Sanctuary at Southgate’s annexation and zoning efforts in order to helpimprove safety concerns of residents in the area. The new roundabout features four concrete islands, which are designed tomake crossing the intersection safer for pedestrians.
